Communication Tips
We believe effective communication and understanding of your actions helps you create and maintain a positive relationship. We want to make sure you're putting your best foot forward no matter if that's in regards to meeting offline, messaging/emailing, or calling someone. Enjoy these great tips!
Meeting Offline
Do your due diligence and conduct a background check on the person you want to meet.
When you decide to meet someone in person, make sure to let your friends and family know.
Be smart, always meet in a public place.
Like the saying goes, It's better to be safe than sorry.
Messaging
We've mentioned this before but use technology to your advantage!
Create an email address just for meetnmix.com. Example: raziamm@gmail.com.
Think of your interaction at the Event - Did you both enjoy the activity?
You were perfect strangers before the event, but now you definitely have one thing in common.
Keep your message short and sweet!
Ask simple questions - makes it easy for the individual to respond and continue the conversation.
Never use any vulgar language.
Don't sound desperate! Nobody likes someone who sounds desperate.
At least act like you're not lazy and spell check.
Calling
Introduce yourself with a smile in your voice and sound lively.
Engage the person.
Talk about the event — "Did you like so and so activity?"
Be respectful.
Don't act rude or use any vulgar language.
Don't talk too much about yourself - nobody likes that.
If you don't know what a person does, don't ask them on the first call.
